Hello, Hastings. The 4th of July can be a dangerous and stressful time for our pets due to fireworks, crowds, heat, and parties. There are some helpful things you can do in preparation, like take your dogs for walks earlier in the day before any festivities begin. Feed your pets and give them calming chews prior to the beginning of fireworks and other gatherings. Also important to give them any anti-anxiety medications 30 to 60 minutes prior to fireworks or events. Give us a call and we can help find out what's best for your pet.
